Food delivery startups such as Tanihub and SayurBox implemented business efficiencies this year.

Starting in March 2022, Tanihub closed its business-to-consumer (B2C) services and shifted to business-to-business (B2B), while SayurBox closed its offline stores in June 2022.

E-commerce, however, was more popular for purchasing fashion products, with 58% of respondents preferring online stores and only 29% opting for physical stores.

The purchase of gadgets and other electronic equipment also leaned towards online stores, as shown in the graph.

This JakPat survey involved 1,420 respondents in Indonesia who made online purchases during the first half of 2022.

50% of respondents were from the Millennial age group, 36% from Generation Z, and 15% from Generation X. 41% of respondents were from outside Java, 35% from Java, and 24% from Jakarta and its surrounding areas.

The sample was selected using probability sampling, with a margin of error below 3%.
