Indonesia, the World's 3rd Largest Contributor of AI Application Visits

Indonesia was one of the world's largest contributors to visits to artificial intelligence (AI) applications in 2023. This is recorded in a report by WriterBuddy, an AI-based content service.

During the period September 2022-August 2023, Indonesian internet users generated 1.4 billion visits to AI applications, contributing 5.60% of the total traffic. This number of visits placed Indonesia third globally.

The United States (US) ranked first with 5.5 billion visits throughout the past year. This amounted to 22.62% of total global visits to AI applications.

"Although the US has a smaller population than China and India, this is not surprising as the US is home to the world's leading technology market," wrote WriterBuddy in its report.

India ranked second, contributing 2.1 billion visits throughout the past year, equivalent to 8.52% of total global visits.

According to WriterBuddy, India is also known as one of the world's largest exporters of information technology (IT) services. Therefore, it's not surprising that its interest in AI technology is greater than other countries.

In addition, WriterBuddy also revealed that ChatGPT was the most used AI application in the past year, receiving 14.6 billion visits from users worldwide.

It was followed by Character.AI and QuillBot, which received 3.8 billion and 1.1 billion visits respectively.

6. United Kingdom: 665 million visits
7. Japan: 642 million visits
8. Germany: 630 million visits
9. Mexico: 579 million visits
10. Canada: 534 million visits.
