In early May 2022, a number of food businesses in Jakarta criticized the online food delivery platform GoFood.

According to a survey by the Demography Institute of the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Indonesia (LD FEB UI), the majority of GoFood partner culinary MSMEs feel that the platform's commission fees are commensurate with the benefits.

In a report published in October 2021, LD FEB UI showed that 61% of respondents from GoFood partner MSMEs felt that the services they received were in line with the platform's commission they paid.

14% of respondents even considered the services they received exceeded the commission they paid.

However, 18% of respondents felt less benefit, and 6% of respondents did not feel any benefit at all from paying the commission.

This survey was conducted by LD FEB UI on 4,363 culinary MSMEs partners of GoFood spread across 21 cities in August 2021.

Data collection was conducted online using a simple random sampling approach, with a margin of error of 2% and a confidence level of 95%.
