Detailed Value on the Global Corporate Investment in AI by 2024

According to the Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence (HAI) Stanford University report, total global corporate investment in AI in 2024 grew by 25.54% (year-on-year/yoy).

In 2024, HAI Stanford University recorded total investment in AI by global companies reaching US$252.33 billion.

This figure includes investment activities such as mergers and acquisitions, minority shareholdings, private investments, and public offerings.

Based on investment activities, private investment became the largest, reaching US$150.79 billion or 59.76% of the total value.

The value of private investment also increased significantly by 44.52% (yoy) compared to 2023, which was US$104.34 billion.

Mergers and acquisitions became the second largest investment activity, reaching US$92.19 billion or a 12.07% increase (yoy) from 2023, which was US$82.26 billion.
