According to market research firm TrendForce, global smartphone production volume reached 300 million units in Q1 2025, a 4% increase quarter-to-quarter (qtq).

"This growth was driven by seasonal demand and the recovery of brands like Oppo and Transsion after inventory adjustments," TrendForce wrote in its report on Friday, September 12, 2025.

At the beginning of the year, Samsung was the largest smartphone producer, reaching 58 million units. However, its volume decreased by 5% quarter-to-quarter (qtq).
