Jakpat's survey results show that 33% of 1,343 respondents preferred ordering drinks via online food delivery apps in March 2025.
Of those who ordered drinks, the majority (54%) chose coffee-based beverages. "Coffee-based drinks were favored by more than half of the respondents, particularly those from the upper class," Jakpat reported on Monday, July 28, 2025.
Fruit-flavored drinks followed at 52%, while drinks with toppings such as fruits, agar-agar, etc., accounted for 43%.
Tea-based drinks were also popular, with 36% of respondents choosing them. Chocolate-based drinks (35%), syrup-based drinks (34%), and yogurt or milk-based drinks (29%) also featured prominently.
"Lower-class respondents tended to prefer fruit-flavored or fruit-based drinks, as well as milk or yogurt-based drinks when ordering online," Jakpat noted.
Jakpat also found that the standard price for online drink orders was Rp47,661. "Lower-class respondents tended to spend more money on drinks but ordered fewer main courses," Jakpat stated.
This survey report, "Consumer Behavior in Online Food Delivery" (specifically focusing on beverages), involved 444 of the 1,343 total respondents in Indonesia. These respondents were spread across Jabodetabek; Java Island (including West Java (excluding Bodetabek), Banten (excluding Tangerang City, Tangerang Regency, and South Tangerang City), Central Java, East Java, and Yogyakarta); and outside Java: Bali, Medan, Padang, Palembang, Pekanbaru, Bandar Lampung, Samarinda, Balikpapan, Manado, Makassar, and Jayapura.
In total, the respondents comprised 52% men and 48% women. By generation, Gen X (45-49 years old) represented 12%; Millennials (29-44 years old) 46%; and Gen Z (15-28 years old) 42%. All respondents were adjusted to reflect the proportion of internet users in Indonesia.
The survey was conducted online on March 13-14, 2025, via the Jakpat mobile app. The margin of error is below 5%.
