According to a Populix survey of 530 Indonesian workers and business owners, 45%, or 238 individuals, have used artificial intelligence (AI)-based applications.

"45% of respondents utilized AI applications like ChatGPT to streamline workflows, aiming to boost productivity through features and templates," stated the Populix team in their survey report titled *Unveiling the Tech Revolution*.

Among those who had used AI, a majority (75%) employed the technology to support their work.

Furthermore, 53% used AI applications due to the abundance of templates—text formats, images, patterns, etc.—that serve as references in creating something.

Another 44% used AI applications for idea generation, and 26% because their office, institution, or university required it.

The survey also revealed that ChatGPT is the most popular AI application in Indonesia, used by 52% of respondents (from the group that had used AI).

Following ChatGPT, 29% used Copy.ai, 18% used Luminar AI, and 15% used Oracle applications. Another 12% used Dall-E and Lalal.ai, and 11% used Outmatch to support their work.

Populix conducted this online survey in April 2023, targeting 530 Indonesian workers and business owners out of a total of 1,014 respondents. The respondent proportion was evenly split between men and women at 50% each.

The majority of respondents were located on Java Island (76%), followed by Sumatra Island (14%), and other islands (10%). Respondents ranged in age from 17 to 55 years old, dominated by the 17-25 age group (51%) and the 26-35 age group (33%).
