Danareksa Research Institute (DRI) estimates that the value of online transactions by Indonesian consumers remains generally low.

DRI's survey findings show that the majority, or 43.44% of respondents, spent less than 10% of their monthly income on online shopping in the last three months.

Furthermore, 23.78% of respondents spent approximately 10-20%, and 6.42% spent 20-30% of their monthly income on online shopping.

Only 1.10% of respondents spent more than 30% of their monthly income, while 25.26% did not engage in any online shopping at all in the last three months.

"Although the volume of online shopping is increasing, the transaction value remains relatively small," DRI explained. However, DRI did not detail the extent of the increase in online shopping volume in its survey report.

This survey was conducted from July 1st to 15th, 2022, involving 1,724 respondents across six regions: DKI Jakarta, West Java, Central Java, East Java, North Sumatra, and South Sulawesi. Respondents were randomly selected, and data collection was conducted through face-to-face interviews.
