What's the Most Popular Internet Data Plan?

Various packages and bonuses are offered by cellular operators to attract customers and increase their market share. This is especially true with the advent of 4G technology, which provides faster data services than previous generations. However, how much data do Indonesian internet users actually consume?

According to a survey by the Indonesian Internet Service Providers Association (APJII), mobile internet users consume the most data at 2 GB per month. This amount is used by 41.2 million users, or about 31.1 percent of users, every month. Meanwhile, only 2.7 million users, or 2.1 percent, use 500-800 MB of data. Of the 132.7 million internet users, 90.2 percent use mobile devices with monthly internet packages. Only 2.2 percent use daily packages; the remainder subscribe to weekly packages.

The APJII survey was conducted on 1,250 randomly selected respondents with a margin of error of +/- 2.8 percent. Data was collected through questionnaire interviews with a 95 percent confidence level.
