According to the *Daily Mail*, Messi earned his latest GWR title after scoring two goals for Inter Miami in a match against Atlanta United at DRV PNK Stadium, USA, on Wednesday (July 26, 2023).
Inter Miami won the Leagues Cup match 4-0. Messi, starting the game, scored two goals in the 8th and 22nd minutes, followed by two more goals from Inter Miami's Robert Taylor.
Messi's second goal in the match was recorded as the most-watched moment in US history, with 3.4 billion online viewers.
Among Messi's other GWR titles is scoring the most goals in a single Champions League match – five goals against Bayern Leverkusen while playing for Barcelona on March 7, 2012 (Barcelona won 7-1).
