Social media analytics firm Drone Emprit released the results of its analysis on X (formerly Twitter) regarding the two final large-scale campaigns of the 2024 Presidential Election in Jakarta on Saturday, February 10, 2024.
Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) hosted the campaign for candidate pair number 1, Anies-Muhaimin Iskandar, while Gelora Bung Karno Stadium (GBK) hosted the campaign for candidate pair number 2, Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming.
Meanwhile, candidate pair number 3, Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD, campaigned at Simpang Lima Field in Semarang, Central Java, and was not included in Drone Emprit's analysis.
Drone Emprit collected data analyzing the keywords 'JIS' and 'GBK' on Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and online media from Wednesday, February 7, 2024, to Saturday, February 10, 2024.
Drone Emprit founder Ismail Fahmi stated that JIS received more attention across several social media platforms, including Twitter, with the highest interaction rate.
Conversations about JIS outperformed GBK on Twitter, with 310,242 mentions (77%), while GBK only had 92,666 mentions (23%).
"The volume of conversations about JIS is far greater than those about GBK. This shows the high interest of netizens in discussing these two campaign locations," said Ismail, as quoted from his Twitter account @ismailfahmi on Sunday, February 11, 2024.
Besides Twitter, the JIS campaign also reportedly outperformed GBK in online media, Instagram, and YouTube, according to Drone Emprit's analysis.
In online media, JIS was mentioned more frequently than GBK. Ismail stated that the peak of reporting occurred on February 10, 2024, with 7,000 mentions of JIS, while there were only 2,000 mentions of GBK. In total, there were 13,685 mentions (82%) of JIS and 2,913 mentions (18%) of GBK in online media during the period of February 7-10, 2024.
The total mentions on Instagram were 340 mentions (60%) for JIS and 227 mentions (40%) for GBK. The interaction trend also showed JIS with 1.5 million interactions (72%), and GBK with 598,000 interactions (28%).
Furthermore, the number of YouTube videos with the keyword JIS reached 1,033 videos (77%), while GBK had 312 videos (23%). Ismail stated that the trend of the number of YouTube videos featuring JIS has always been greater than those about GBK. "The peak was on the day of the event; there were at least 417 videos about JIS and 150 videos about GBK," said Ismail.
The total interaction trend on videos about JIS was also greater than that of GBK, with 17.7 million interactions (65%) related to JIS and 9.6 million interactions (35%) related to GBK.
Ismail also stated that Google Trend searches for JIS and GBK in the last 7 days showed that the search volume for JIS was slightly higher than that for GBK.
"Across all channels (Twitter, News, Instagram, YouTube) monitored during the period of February 7-10, 2024, JIS received a higher number of mentions and interactions compared to GBK," said Ismail.
According to Ismail, this shows the higher interest of netizens on those social media platforms and online media regarding JIS, the location of the final campaign for candidate pair 01, compared to GBK, the location of candidate pair 02.
