How many seats in the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) did each political party win in the 2014 general election?

Today, Tuesday, July 17, 2018, marks the deadline for registration of prospective legislative candidates (caleg), which opened on July 4. A total of 575 seats in the House of Representatives (DPR) of the Republic of Indonesia (RI) will be contested by 14 political parties that qualified to participate in the 2019 general election.

The number of DPR RI seats in the 2019 election increased by 15 to 575, compared to 560 seats in the 2014 election. This increase is related to the addition of three electoral districts (dapil), namely North Kalimantan, West Kalimantan, and West Nusa Tenggara. Therefore, the number of electoral districts in next year's election will be 80, up from 77 previously.

In the 2014 election, PDI Perjuangan (PDI-P) led in the number of seats in the DPR RI, with 109 seats or 9.5% of the total 560 seats. Golkar Party came in second with 91 seats (16.3%), and Gerindra Party was third with 73 seats (13%). Meanwhile, the Bulan Bintang Party (PBB) and the Indonesian Justice and Unity Party (PKPI) did not receive any seats in the DPR RI because their vote totals were below the parliamentary threshold of 3.5%.
