Inflation and Military Conflict: The World's Biggest Worries

Inflation is one of the most worrying national issues for many people worldwide. This is included in the Ipsos Global survey titled *What Worries the World?*

"Almost four in ten (or 39%) across 29 countries chose inflation as one of the biggest concerns facing their country," Ipsos wrote in its report.

Ipsos stated that global concerns about the cost of living peaked at 43% last February. Since then, this issue has been considered the biggest national problem this year.

Other national issues related to crime and violence, as well as poverty and inequality, are concerns for 31% of global respondents.

There are also those who highlight national issues related to unemployment, corruption, healthcare services, climate change, taxes, and immigration control.

Meanwhile, respondents who worry about national issues such as education, moral decline, environmental threats, the rise of extremism, terrorism, maintaining social programs, military conflicts, COVID-19, and access to credit have a lower proportion.

This Ipsos survey involved 20,570 adult respondents spread across 29 countries. Data collection was conducted online through the Ipsos panel from September 22 to October 6, 2023.
