Gibran has only served as Solo Mayor for less than three years before deciding to run as Prabowo Subianto's potential running mate. This contrasts with Jokowi, who ran in the 2014 Presidential Election with nearly two terms of experience leading Solo and a stint as Governor of Jakarta.

Other reasons for considering Gibran unsuitable included his perceived role in dynastic politics (26.7% of respondents), and the belief that his candidacy represents an abuse of power by Jokowi (12.4% of respondents).

Furthermore, 3.2% of respondents considered Gibran unsuitable due to his perceived ambition and lack of loyalty to political parties/organizations.

The survey involved 2,400 respondents representing all provinces in Indonesia aged 17 and above (eligible voters). The sample was selected using multistage random sampling.

Data collection was conducted from October 26-31, 2023, using face-to-face interviews. The margin of error is 2% with a 95% confidence level.
