Survey Indicator: 52.8% of Citizens Dissatisfied with Ma'ruf Amin's Performance

An Indonesian Political Indicator survey shows that a majority, or 52.8%, of Indonesians are dissatisfied with the performance of Vice President Ma'ruf Amin. Specifically, 36.4% of respondents stated they were somewhat dissatisfied, and 16.5% stated they were completely dissatisfied.

This dissatisfaction increased from the previous survey, which showed 50.4% dissatisfaction. The breakdown was 38.6% somewhat dissatisfied and 11.8% completely dissatisfied.

Meanwhile, only 43.2% of respondents were satisfied with Ma'ruf's performance. This includes 4.2% who were very satisfied and 39% who were somewhat satisfied. Another 3.9% of respondents stated they did not know or did not answer.

In contrast to Ma'ruf, a majority, or 63.2%, of Indonesians reported being satisfied with the performance of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi). Specifically, 9.3% of respondents were very satisfied and 53.9% were somewhat satisfied.

Only 35.3% of respondents were dissatisfied with Jokowi's performance. 1.5% of respondents stated they did not know or did not answer.

Indikator conducted this survey with 1,220 respondents across 34 provinces from September 2-7, 2021. The margin of error is ±2.9% with a 95% confidence level.
