Ipsos Indonesia research institute released the results of a survey on the electability of three potential presidential candidates (capres) in August 2023.

The results show that former Governor of Central Java, Ganjar Pranowo, obtained the highest electability, reaching 40.12% of the total respondents.

Previously, in the Ipsos survey conducted in July 2023, Prabowo Subianto led with 36.65%, compared to Ganjar's 34.46%.

Below Ganjar, Prabowo received votes from 37.21% of respondents.

Meanwhile, Anies Baswedan's electability lagged far behind with 22.67%. This percentage decreased from the July 2023 survey results, which obtained 25.60% of the votes.

This survey was conducted on 1,200 respondents spread across 24 provinces in Indonesia, with a proportion of 50.8% male respondents and 49.2% female respondents.

Data collection was conducted from August 22-27, 2023, using the computer-assisted personal interviewing (CAPI) method, with a margin of error of approximately 2.83% and a 95% confidence level.
