The Indonesian Survey Institute (LSI) calculated the distribution of political party votes (parpol) flowing to three prospective presidential candidates: Prabowo Subianto, Ganjar Pranowo, and Anies Baswedan.
From 18 political parties, *Databoks* took the vote distribution from 8 political parties with electability above 4% or those considered to have passed the parliamentary threshold.
The PDI-P, with the highest electability at 26.1% of the total respondents, largely directed its support to Ganjar Pranowo, namely 75.6% of that base. This was followed by support for Prabowo at 17.9% and Anies Baswedan at 5.6%. Those who didn't know/didn't answer (TT/TJ) amounted to 0.9%.
The second highest electability was obtained by Gerindra, at 14.4%. From this base, 78.8% of respondents supported Prabowo Subianto, followed by Ganjar at 13.4% and Anies at 7.6%.
Third highest was Golkar with electability at 9.7%. The most support was directed towards Prabowo (47.6%), followed by Anies (30.4%) and Ganjar (21.1%). The remainder is shown in the graph.
LSI stated that Prabowo Subianto received the most support from political parties. The largest vote distribution came from Gerindra, Golkar, Demokrat, and PAN.
"Among parties with a voter base above 4%, Anies is currently more supported by NasDem and PKS, while Ganjar is more supported by the PDI-P base. Furthermore, Prabowo is more supported by the voter base of Gerindra, Golkar, Demokrat, and PAN," wrote LSI in a report published on Thursday (19/10/2023).
This survey was conducted on 1,620 Indonesian citizens who have the right to vote in the general election, or are 17 years of age or older, or are married at the time of the survey.
Respondents were selected using a multistage random sampling method. The margin of error is approximately 2.5% with a 95% confidence level, assuming simple random sampling.
Respondents were interviewed face-to-face by trained interviewers. Data was collected from October 2-8, 2023.
