IPO Survey: Majority of Public Satisfied with Anies Baswedan's Performance, Here's the Aspect

Indonesia Political Opinion (IPO) research reveals that the performance of Anies Baswedan as Governor of DKI Jakarta received positive assessments and satisfaction from the majority of respondents.

"In general, 54% are satisfied (with Anies' performance as Governor of DKI), 7% are even very satisfied. The dissatisfied group is only 36%, and those very dissatisfied are 5%," said IPO Executive Director Dedi Kurnia Syah at the release of the survey results on "Public Perception of the Performance of the Governor of DKI Jakarta and Public Expectations of the Acting Governor of Jakarta 2022-2024" on Wednesday (5/10).

In detail, public satisfaction with Anies' performance was highest in the sector of freedom of expression at 94 percent. Other sectors with high satisfaction levels include improvements in education quality (87%), corruption eradication (84%), handling of the Covid-19 pandemic (83%), and law enforcement (82%).

The following are the levels of public satisfaction with aspects of the work of DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan:

1. Job Creation: 19%
2. Controlling Basic Prices: 28%
3. Corruption Eradication: 84%
4. Public Welfare: 71%
5. National Worker Priority: 69%
6. Law Enforcement: 82%
7. Improvement in Education Quality: 87%
8. Handling of the Covid-19 Pandemic: 83%
9. Freedom of Expression: 94%
10. Political Security and Tolerance: 63%
11. Urban Governance: 75%

These results were obtained from a survey conducted by IPO from September 23-26, 2022, using telephone interview methods with 400 randomly selected respondents and digital questionnaire completion by 1,000 respondents.

This method has a margin of error of 2.9 percent with a data accuracy rate of 95 percent.
