Thomas Djiwandono's Wealth, Prabowo's Nephew Who Became Deputy Governor of BI

DPR Commission XI selected Thomas Djiwandono as Deputy Governor of Bank Indonesia (BI) during an internal meeting held on Monday (January 26, 2026).

The nephew of President Prabowo Subianto will replace Juda Agung, who resigned on January 13, 2025.

Chairman of Commission XI, Mukhamad Misbakhun, revealed that this appointment process was conducted internally by Commission XI. The selection was made after three candidates underwent a fit and proper test.

"Today, we agreed and jointly decided this in an internal meeting of Commission XI, and it will later be brought to the DPR Plenary Session for ratification," Misbakhun said, as reported by Katadata, Monday (January 26, 2026).

According to the State Officials' Wealth Report (LHKPN), Thomas had assets worth Rp74.5 billion in 2024.

The report was submitted to the KPK on January 23, 2025, when he had just taken office as Deputy Minister of Finance.

Most of his wealth comes from a plot of land and building he owns in South Jakarta, valued at Rp40.57 billion.

Thomas also reportedly has cash and cash equivalents of Rp14.82 billion, securities of Rp13.07 billion, transportation assets of Rp4.2 billion, and other movable assets of Rp1.8 billion.

The reported transportation assets include three cars: a Toyota Alphard (2019), a Hyundai Staria (2024), and a Lexus (2024).

By the end of 2025, the new Deputy Governor of BI had no debt.
