5 Best Performing Governors According to Indonesian Youth

According to the Muda Bicara ID survey, young people in Indonesia rated the Governor of West Java, Dedi Mulyadi, as having the best performance compared to other governors at the end of 2025.

This perception was expressed by 25.59% of the young people involved in the survey.

"Dedi Mulyadi topped the list thanks to the highest satisfaction rate and active personal communication on social media," Muda Bicara ID stated in its report.

Subsequently, the Governor of Aceh, Muzakir Manaf, ranked second with 15.94%. This was influenced by his quick response and transparency in disaster management in Aceh.

Here are the five best-performing governors in Indonesia according to young people, based on the Muda Bicara ID survey:

1. Governor of West Java Dedi Mulyadi: 25.59%
2. Governor of Aceh Muzakir Manaf: 15.94%
3. Governor of DKI Jakarta Pramono Anung: 14.90%
4. Governor of DI Yogyakarta Sri Sultan HB X: 12.99%
5. Governor of North Maluku Sherly Tjoanda: 12.74%

According to Muda Bicara ID, Pramono Anung made it into the top five because he was supported by his performance and concrete programs in the public service sector.

Meanwhile, Sherly Tjoanda was considered to represent leadership focused on inclusive development and equitable distribution in eastern Indonesia.

"Generally, young people evaluate governors based on three dimensions: digital communication responsiveness, measurable field performance, and integrity, not merely party affiliation," Muda Bicara ID stated.

The survey was conducted from November 10 to December 10, 2025, involving 800 respondents aged 17-40 from across Indonesia, using the computer-assisted self-interviewing method.
