Others were related to permits for religious activities (7 cases), allegations of deviant teachings (6 cases), and unknown issues (3 cases).

"It can be concluded that Indonesia has not fully fulfilled its constitutional and international obligations in guaranteeing freedom of religion or belief," KontraS stated.

"This condition emphasizes the need for seriousness and political will from the government to truly guarantee the right of every citizen to worship and believe in their religious teachings. Without a strong commitment, Indonesia will continue to be far from the mandate of the constitution and internationally recognized human rights principles," it continued.
