According to a survey conducted by the Seventeen Pioneer Foundation (PP17) through Kawula17, the level of understanding of gender issues among Indonesian youth respondents remained limited in mid-2025.

68% of respondents answered that they had a limited understanding of gender issues. The second largest percentage, 22%, reported not understanding gender issues at all.

The survey was conducted from July 10-17, 2025, using the computer-assisted self-interviewing (CASI) method, or an online survey.
