Details of the Assets of Bimo Wijayanto, the New Head of the Tax Office

President Prabowo Subianto reportedly appointed Lieutenant General TNI Bimo Wijayanto as the Director General of Taxes, replacing Suryo Utomo.

"I have been given a mandate, and later, in accordance with the direction of the Minister of Finance, I will join the Ministry of Finance," Bimo said in his statement, as reported by *Antara*, Salatiga (20/5/2025).

In his meeting with Prabowo at the Presidential Palace, he explained that he had received much direction. However, the exact schedule of his inauguration has not yet been announced.

"For the inauguration and everything else, we are waiting for instructions from the Minister of Finance," said Bimo.

Before his appointment, Bimo served as an Independent Commissioner of PT Pharos Tbk, a subsidiary of PT Kimia Farma Tbk, since June 2022. He also previously served as a Principal Expert Staff at the Indonesian Presidential Staff Office (KSP) from 2015-2016.

According to the State Officials' Wealth Report (LHKPN) of the KPK (Corruption Eradication Commission), Bimo last reported his wealth in 2021, when he served as Assistant Deputy for Strategic Investment, Deputy for Investment and Mining Coordination at the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment (Kemenko Marves).

The prospective Director General of Taxes is recorded as having assets worth Rp6.67 billion in 2021.

Most of his assets consist of land and buildings worth Rp5.8 billion. There are 5 plots of land and buildings spread across Sleman, Yogyakarta, and Gunung Kidul.

Bimo is also reported to own a vehicle, a Toyota Fortuner (2017) worth Rp370 million.

Then there are other movable assets amounting to Rp200 million and cash and cash equivalents of Rp300 million. Until the end of 2021, Bimo is recorded as having no debt.
