Deddy-Erwan Win West Java Gubernatorial Election According to Kompas Research and Development Quick Count

According to the Kompas Research and Development (Litbang Kompas) quick count, the pair Dedi Mulyadi-Erwan Setiawan received the highest number of votes in the 2024 West Java Gubernatorial Election.

The pair, nominated by the Indonesia Maju Coalition (KIM) Plus, obtained 61.24% of the vote, significantly surpassing the other three candidate pairs.

In second place was Ahmad Syaikhu-Ilham Akbar Habibie with 19.41% of the vote.

Followed by Acep Adang Ruhiat-Gitalis Dwinatarina with 10.25% of the vote, and Jeje Wiradinata-Ronal Surapradja with 9.10% of the vote.

According to the Kompas Litbang exit poll, Dedi-Erwan's high vote count in the quick count stemmed from support from housewives. 65.5% of their voters were housewives.

Meanwhile, 62.6% of Dedi-Erwan's voters worked as freelance laborers, 59.1% as entrepreneurs, and 58.8% as private employees.

The Kompas Litbang quick count sampled 400 polling stations (TPS), with a margin of error of less than 1% and a 99% confidence level.

It should be noted that this quick count is not the official result. The General Election Commission (KPU) will conduct a tiered vote recapitulation from Wednesday, November 27, 2024, to Monday, December 16, 2024.
