Quick Count from Four Survey Institutes: Pramono-Rano Leading in Jakarta Gubernatorial Election

According to the final quick count results from four survey institutions, the pair Pramono Anung-Rano Karno leads in the 2024 Jakarta Gubernatorial Election (Pilgub).

The survey institutions reporting this are SMRC, LSI, Indikator Politik, and Litbang Kompas.

SMRC's quick count shows Pramono-Rano receiving 51.03% of the vote, Ridwan Kamil (RK)-Suswono 38.8%, and Dharma Pongrekun-Kun Wardhana 10.17%.

This SMRC quick count has a participation rate of 66.18% with a margin of error of approximately 1.22%.

According to the quick count from the Indonesian Survey Institute (LSI), Pramono-Rano leads with 50.1% of the vote, followed by RK-Suswono with 39.29%, and Dharma-Kun with 10.61%.

LSI states that these vote results are still within a margin of error of up to 50%, so they cannot yet conclude whether the Jakarta Gubernatorial Election will be held in one or two rounds.

According to Indikator Politik, Pramono-Rano obtained 49.87% of the vote, RK-Suswono 39.53%, and Dharma-Kun 10.61%.

This figure is not far from the Litbang Kompas quick count results, which show Pramono-Rano leading with 49.49% of the vote, RK-Suswono with 40.02%, and Dharma-Kun with 10.49%. The Litbang Kompas vote count has a margin of error of less than 1% with a 99% confidence level.

According to Law Number 10 of 2016 concerning Regional Elections, the requirements for winning the Jakarta Gubernatorial Election differ from those in other regions. A candidate must receive more than 50% of the vote to win in one round.

It should be noted that these quick count figures are not official vote counts. The official results of the 2024 Regional Elections will be known approximately 19 days after the voting, or on December 16, 2024.
