Public Expectations for Prabowo-Gibran's First 100 Days in Office

Kompas Research and Development surveyed public expectations for the first 100 days of the Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka administration.

The results show that a majority, or 48.7% of respondents, expect strengthening the economic sector to be the top priority.

Furthermore, 23.4% of respondents stated that improvements in education and healthcare should be prioritized during the first 100 days of the Prabowo-Gibran administration.

"Looking ahead, the success of future generations in competing in the global market will be determined by their education and health," wrote the Kompas Research and Development team in their report on Monday, November 11, 2024.

Other public expectations include increased social welfare (15.2%); better environmental management (4.9%); and improved security and defense (3.6%).

Meanwhile, issues related to corruption eradication, campaign program realization, and improved law enforcement had less than 1% support, as detailed in the accompanying graph.

This survey also found that 79.5% of respondents believe that at least one campaign program will be implemented within the first 100 days of the Prabowo-Gibran administration.

"This public optimism should be immediately addressed by the new administration with at least one concrete program that can be felt by all segments of society," wrote the Kompas Research and Development team.

This Kompas Research and Development survey involved 540 respondents across 38 Indonesian provinces, selected randomly and proportionally.

Data collection was conducted from October 21-23, 2024, through telephone interviews. The survey's margin of error is approximately 4.21% with a 95% confidence level, under conditions of simple random sampling.
