The Indonesian Survey Institute (LSI) released the latest survey results regarding the electoral map in the 2024 Jakarta Regional Elections (Pilkada).

In a simulation of three gubernatorial and vice-gubernatorial candidate pairs, Ridwan Kamil and Suswono garnered the most votes, reaching 51.8%.

"If there are no changes in the future, Ridwan Kamil has surpassed the 50% threshold required to be declared the elected governor of Jakarta," said LSI Executive Director Djayadi Hanan in his online survey presentation on Wednesday (September 18, 2024).

Following behind are Pramono Anung-Rano Karno, chosen by 28.4% of respondents. Independent candidates Dharma Pongrekun-Kun Wardana are in last place with 3.2% of the vote.

Meanwhile, 3.9% of respondents stated they would not vote or abstain. Another 12.8% of respondents did not know or did not answer which candidate they supported.

The LSI survey also found that a majority, or 61.5%, of respondents stated there was only a small chance of changing their choice in the upcoming regional elections, while the choices of the remaining 37.2% of respondents are still fluid.

This survey involved 1,200 respondents in Jakarta, with the criteria of being 17 years of age or older or married. Respondents were selected using a multistage random sampling method.

Data collection was conducted from September 6-12, 2024, through face-to-face interviews. The survey's margin of error is approximately 2.9% at a 95% confidence level.
