The Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries (KKP), Susi Pudjiastuti, was rated the best minister/minister-level official according to public opinion. A Poltracking Indonesia survey recorded that the Minister of KKP received 26.8% of the vote from respondents as the best minister. This result was far above that of other ministers or officials such as Minister of Social Affairs Khofifah Indar Parawangsa, Commander of the Indonesian National Armed Forces Gatot Nurmanto, and Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati.
According to the survey, Minister Susi was also the most favorite or most popular minister with 26.1% of respondent votes. Her decisive actions in combating illegal fishing, including the sinking of fishing vessels, undertaken since her appointment, garnered public sympathy. This vote share also significantly outperformed other ministers/minister-level officials such as Khofifah, Gatot Nurmantyo, and Tito Karnavian.

The Poltracking survey, conducted from November 8-15, 2017, involved 2,400 respondents spread across 34 provinces, using a *stratified multistage random sampling* method. The survey's *margin of error* is +/- 2 percent with a 95 percent confidence level.
