Median Survey: Among NU Members, Jokowi-Ma'ruf's Electability Leads Competitors

The electability of the presidential and vice-presidential candidate pair Joko Widodo-Ma'ruf Amin (Jokowi-Ma'ruf) surpasses that of their rivals, Prabowo Subianto-Sandiaga Uno (Prabowo-Sandiaga), among Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) members. This is reflected in the latest results from Median, a national survey institution, which show the Jokowi-Ma'ruf pair garnering 46.6% of the vote, while the Prabowo-Sandiaga pair obtained only 36.4%. The remainder were undecided.

Meanwhile, among Muhammadiyah members, the Prabowo-Sandiaga pair leads with 62% of the vote, while the Jokowi-Ma'ruf pair received only 23%, with the rest undecided. The presidential candidate pair with number 01 holds a lead among non-Muslim voters, while the number 02 pair leads among Muslim voters (excluding NU and Nahdlatul Wathan), as shown in the graph below.

Based on the survey conducted from November 4-16, 2018, the electability of the Jokowi-Ma'ruf pair is leading with 47.7% of the vote. The Prabowo-Sandiaga pair received only 35.5%, with the remainder undecided. The survey involved 1200 respondents using a multistage random sampling technique with a margin of error of 2.9% and a 95% confidence level.
