Official Increase: Details of Election Official Remuneration 2024

The Head of the General Election Commission (KPU), Hasyim Asy'ari, stated that the KPU's efforts to increase the honorariums for ad hoc election officials in the 2024 General Election and Regional Elections have been realized.

"So, at least there is a picture of the honorariums for ad hoc officials, especially for the Head of the Polling Station Committee (KPPS), there has been a relatively large increase from Rp 550,000 in the previous election to Rp 1,200,000, and for members of the Polling Station Committee from Rp 500,000 to Rp 1,100,000," said Hasyim in a press release issued on Tuesday (August 9).

The government, through the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu), approved the budget proposal submitted by the KPU regarding the honorariums for 2024 election officials.

This decision is stated in the Ministry of Finance Letter Number S-647/MK.02/2022 dated August 5, 2022, concerning Other Input Cost Units (SBML) for the General Election Stages and Election Stages.

The following are the details of the 2024 Election Official Honorariums:

1. Head of District Election Committee (PPK): Rp 1,850,000 to Rp 2,500,000
2. Member of District Election Committee (PPK): Rp 1,600,000 to Rp 2,200,000
3. Head of Village Election Committee (PPS): Rp 900,000 to Rp 1,500,000
4. Member of Village Election Committee (PPS): Rp 850,000 to Rp 1,300,000
5. Head of Polling Station Committee (KPPS): Rp 550,000 to Rp 1,200,000
6. Member of Polling Station Committee (KPPS): Rp 500,000 to Rp 1,100,000
7. Voter List Registrar (Pantarlih): Rp 800,000 to Rp 1,000,000
8. Civil Defense (Linmas): Rp 500,000 to Rp 700,000

The KPU also set the amount of compensation for Election Officials with the following details:

* Death: Rp 36,000,000
* Serious injury: Rp 16,500,000
* Minor injury: Rp 8,250,000
* Permanent disability: Rp 30,800,000
