According to the Indonesian Survey Institute (LSI), the majority of the public disagree with the notion that the 2024 General Election was rife with fraud.

LSI found that the perception that the election was marred by fraud stemmed more from partisan groups or supporters of specific presidential and vice-presidential candidates.

Among respondents who voted for Anies-Muhaimin, 38.1% agreed that there was widespread fraud in the election, while 16.9% disagreed.

Then, among respondents who voted for Ganjar-Mahfud, 25.4% agreed, while 12% disagreed.

A different situation was observed among respondents who voted for Prabowo-Gibran, where 36.5% agreed, while 71% disagreed.

"The proportion that assessed the election as fraudulent, when combined, is mostly from (voters) 01 (Anies-Muhaimin) and 03 (Ganjar-Mahfud)," said Djayadi.

LSI conducted this survey from February 19-21, 2024, involving 1,211 respondents aged 17 years and older or who were married, and owned mobile phones. Respondents were assumed to represent 83% of the total national population.

Sample selection used a random digit dialing (RDD) technique that had been validated. Selected respondents were then interviewed by phone.

The margin of error for this survey is approximately 2.6% at a 95% confidence level, assuming simple random sampling.
