Highest Growth in Goods and Services Exports in Q3 2021

Indonesia's economy, measured by Gross Domestic Product (GDP) at constant 2010 prices, grew by 1.55% to Rp 1,446.5 trillion in the third quarter of 2021 compared to the second quarter of 2021 (quarter-to-quarter/q-to-q).

GDP growth (q-to-q) in the third quarter of 2021 slowed compared to the second quarter of 2021, which reached 3.31% (q-to-q).

Exports of goods and services recorded the highest growth among all expenditure components, namely 9.28% in the third quarter of 2021 (q-to-q). This was followed by government consumption, which grew by 8.96% (q-to-q), and Gross Fixed Capital Formation (GFCF), which grew by 4.63% (q-to-q).

Meanwhile, imports of goods and services, which are a deduction from GDP, experienced a contraction of 1.24% in the third quarter of 2021 (q-to-q). This figure is the deepest compared to other components.

Above this are non-profit institutions serving households (NPISH), which experienced a contraction of 0.36% (q-to-q), and household consumption, which also experienced negative growth of 0.18% (q-to-q).
