2023 MTV VMA Winners: Taylor Swift Takes Home the Most Awards

The 2023 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) announced their winners on September 12, 2023, at the Prudential Center in Newark, USA. This annual event celebrates the world's best musicians.

According to Billboard's official website, Taylor Swift was the biggest winner at the 2023 MTV VMAs. From 11 nominations, the "Blank Space" singer took home 9 awards.

Taylor Swift also made history by winning two MTV VMA categories for the second consecutive year: Video of the Year and Best Direction. She became the first woman to win the Best Direction MTV VMA twice. Her wins this year were for her song "Anti-Hero."

South Korean girl group BLACKPINK won two awards. Jennie and the group won Group of the Year and Best Choreography for their song "Pink Venom."

In addition to BLACKPINK, several K-Pop idols also received awards at this prestigious event, including BTS's Jungkook, Stray Kids, and Tomorrow X Together (TXT), each winning one award.

Other international musicians such as SZA, Olivia Rodrigo, Doja Cat, and others also took home one award each.
