The number of global Twitter users increased by 16.1% year-on-year (YoY) and grew by 51.3% quarter-to-quarter (QoQ).
Indonesia ranked fourth in the world with the most Twitter users in July 2023. This is an improvement from the previous report, which placed Indonesia sixth in May 2023.
The number of Twitter users in Indonesia reached 25.25 million in July 2023, a 71.2% increase quarter-to-quarter (QoQ).
The United States still holds the top spot as the country with the most Twitter users globally as of July 2023, with 98.5 million users.
Japan is in second place with 67.9 million Twitter users, followed by India with 26.45 million users.
Below Indonesia are Brazil and the United Kingdom, with 22.95 million and 22.7 million Twitter users respectively.

Recently, *The Verge* reported that Twitter's valuation plummeted by approximately 55% a year after its acquisition by billionaire Elon Musk. A year after purchasing Twitter for US$44 billion, Musk stated that the company is now only worth US$19 billion.
X employees (formerly Twitter), received equity in the company valued at US$19 billion, or US$45 per share, according to internal documents viewed by *The Verge* on Tuesday, October 31, 2023.
This means Twitter's valuation has dropped 55% from Musk's initial purchase price, according to the documents, which stated that "the fair market value per share is determined by the Board of Directors based on a number of factors in a manner consistent with applicable tax regulations."
