Bitcoin's exchange rate has fallen more than 30 percent to US$3,391 on Wednesday (September 14th) from its peak of US$4,880.85 on September 1st. This decline was triggered by the Chinese government's ban on Initial Coin Offering (ICO) funding schemes. This decline also impacted other cryptocurrencies such as Ethereum, Ripple, and Litecoin.
Despite a significant drop this month, Bitcoin miners are still recording profits of over 256 percent in 2017. At the end of last year, Bitcoin's exchange rate was only US$952.01.
