The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) set the Indonesian Coal Reference Price (HBA) at US$288.4 per ton in April 2022. This is the highest HBA ever recorded.

The coal quality used in the calculation is standardized to 6322 kcal/kg GAR, 8% total moisture, 0.8% total sulfur, and 15% ash.
