Several Indonesian Bank Issuers Heavily Sought After by Foreign Investors in a Week

Several Indonesian bank issuers were among the stocks most purchased by foreign investors in the last week, or the period of January 15-19, 2024.

According to RTI Business data, the stock with the highest net foreign buy (NFB) value was Bank Central Asia (BBCA), at Rp974.3 billion.

The trading volume of BBCA shares reached 312.2 million shares, with a transaction value of Rp3 trillion, and a trading frequency of 50,830 times during this week.

In second place was Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BBRI) at Rp591.2 billion. The volume of BBRI shares traded reached 407.2 million, with a transaction value of Rp2.4 trillion and a frequency of 53,990 times.

Then Bank Mandiri (BMRI) completed the top three with an NFB value of Rp358.7 billion.

The shares traded amounted to 325.7 billion shares, the transaction value reached Rp2.1 trillion, and the frequency was 37,850 times.

Besides these three banks, other bank issuers were included in this list, namely Bank Jago and BSI, as shown in the graph.

RTI Business also recorded that the total NFB value across all markets reached Rp1.77 trillion in the last week. The trading volume was 99.8 billion shares, the transaction value was Rp53.3 trillion, and the frequency was 6.33 million times.
