According to data from the Ministry of Trade, the price of cooking oil in Indonesia has been gradually increasing over the past month.
As of April 20, 2026, the average price of bulk palm oil nationwide reached Rp19,467 per liter, an increase of 2.9% compared to the previous month (month-to-month/mtm).
When broken down by region, the increase in the price of bulk cooking oil varies across provinces.
In the past month, the highest price increases were recorded in West Sulawesi, Riau, and Gorontalo, with percentage increases ranging from 6 to 8% (mtm).
Only 11 provinces saw no change in the price of bulk cooking oil, namely Bangka Belitung Islands, Riau Islands, East Nusa Tenggara, North Kalimantan, Southeast Sulawesi, North Maluku, South West Papua, West Papua, Central Papua, Papua Mountains, and South Papua.
Meanwhile, no province recorded a price decrease, as shown in the chart.
However, in terms of nominal price, the most expensive bulk cooking oil is found in the provinces of Papua Island. The following are the average prices of bulk cooking oil at the provincial level on April 20, 2026, sorted from the most expensive:
