President Prabowo Subianto and the Bakrie Group's listed company, PT VKTR Teknologi Mobilitas Tbk (VKTR), inaugurated Indonesia's first electric vehicle (EV) factory with an investment value of Rp5 trillion in Magelang, Central Java, on Thursday (9/4/2026).

This investment was made through VKTR's subsidiary, PT VKTR Sakti Industries (VKTS), to strengthen the national electric vehicle industry, particularly in the commercial vehicle segment such as buses and trucks.

In 2025, the automotive industry company's sales were supported by sales of spare parts and scrap metal worth Rp863.12 billion, as well as battery-based electric vehicles worth Rp230.76 billion.

However, this value was offset by returns and sales discounts amounting to Rp4.64 billion.

VKTR's cost of sales in 2025 amounted to Rp892.63 billion, an increase of 8.13% (yoy). Thus, the company recorded a gross profit of Rp196.61 billion.

As of December 31, 2025, VKTR recorded total assets of Rp1.80 trillion, an increase of 11.79% (yoy). Its assets consisted of liabilities of Rp553.02 billion and equity of Rp1.25 trillion.
