Cinema XXI's Revenue and Profit Decline in the First Half of 2025

The parent company managing the Cinema XXI cinema network, PT Nusantara Sejahtera Raya Tbk (CNMA), recorded a net profit attributable to the parent entity of Rp288.56 billion in the first half of 2025.

This represents a 25.85% decrease year-on-year (yoy) compared to the Rp389.19 billion profit achieved in the first half of the previous year.

During the same period, CNMA's revenue also fell by 2.63% (yoy) to Rp2.88 trillion.

Revenue declined across almost all of CNMA's business lines. Cinema ticket sales decreased by 4.03% (yoy) to Rp1.8 trillion.

Food and beverage sales fell by 1.26% (yoy) to Rp968.02 billion; advertising revenue dropped by 5.61% (yoy) to Rp30.98 billion; and event and other revenue decreased by 6.21% (yoy) to Rp13.14 billion.

Meanwhile, revenue from the digital platform surged by 22.43% (yoy) to Rp69.24 billion.

According to Cinema XXI's President Director, Suryo Suherman, the company's performance during the first half of 2025 focused on improving viewing services and expanding into various regions across Indonesia.

"The stability of the company's performance is the result of the effective implementation of targeted and adaptive strategies to industry dynamics, as well as the consistent and continuous strengthening of the operational network," Suryo said in a press release on Monday, July 28, 2025.

In the first half of this year, Cinema XXI cinemas attracted 42.5 million viewers, boosted by the momentum of Lebaran (Eid al-Fitr) and audience enthusiasm for box office films, both national and international.

"As the largest cinema network in Indonesia, we are proud to be part of the ecosystem that supports the advancement of Indonesian films," Suryo said.
