However, the national mining holding company MIND ID revealed that Indonesia still relies on imports for 20% of the raw materials for electric vehicle batteries.

Indonesia is not listed as having lithium resources in the USGS report. This highlights the need for Indonesia to cooperate with other countries to develop its domestic electric vehicle battery industry. According to the USGS, such cooperation is also being strengthened globally.
