Three state-owned enterprises (SOEs) in the mining sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) collectively recorded net profits in 2021.
These three SOEs are PT Bukit Asam Tbk, PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (Antam), and PT Timah Tbk.
Bukit Asam, which operates in the coal mining industry, recorded the largest net profit among the three, reaching Rp7.91 trillion in 2021. This achievement grew by 231% from Rp2.39 trillion in 2020.
Next, Antam recorded a net profit of Rp1.86 trillion in 2021. This profit increased by 62% from Rp1.15 trillion in 2020.
Finally, PT Timah booked a net profit of Rp1.3 trillion in 2021. The company successfully reversed a loss of Rp341 billion in 2020.
These three issuers are members of the mining SOE holding company Mining Industry Indonesia (MIND ID), which also includes PT Indonesia Asahan Aluminium (Persero) and PT Freeport Indonesia.
The holding company itself recorded revenue of Rp93.75 trillion with a net profit of Rp14.33 trillion in 2021.
