Several Indonesian banks are state-owned enterprises (SOEs), namely Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI), Bank Mandiri, Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI), and Bank Tabungan Negara (BTN).
Of these four SOE banks, BRI achieved the highest profit in 2023.
In 2023, BRI recorded a net profit of Rp60.4 trillion, a 17.5% increase compared to 2022 (year-on-year/yoy).
Bank Mandiri followed with a net profit of Rp55.1 trillion, a 33.7% increase (yoy).
BNI's net profit rose by 14.2% (yoy) to Rp20.9 trillion, and BTN's net profit increased by 14.97% (yoy) to Rp3.5 trillion.
Although their net profit values varied, all SOE banks recorded positive growth in 2023.
