The Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) reported that State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) assets grew by 6.38% to Rp10.12 quadrillion in 2021, compared to Rp9.52 quadrillion in the previous year.
SOEs operating in ten sectors recorded asset growth, while those in two sectors experienced a decline in assets in 2021 compared to the previous year.
SOEs operating in the financial and insurance activities sector had the largest assets, amounting to Rp5.42 quadrillion in 2021. This was followed by SOEs in the gas and electricity sector at Rp1.62 quadrillion, the mining sector at Rp1.33 quadrillion, and the transportation sector at Rp514 trillion.
Next, there were SOEs operating in the construction sector with assets worth Rp378.17 trillion, in the manufacturing industry at Rp364.33 trillion, the information and communication sector at Rp277.49 trillion, and the agriculture sector at Rp183.42 trillion.
There were also SOEs operating in the wholesale and retail trade sector with assets worth Rp28.29 trillion, the professional activities sector at Rp9.84 trillion, the real estate sector at Rp9.69 trillion, and the water supply, waste, and waste management sector at Rp2.74 trillion.
For information, by the end of 2021, there were 95 SOEs. The following is the number of SOEs by business sector:

3. Financial Activities: 16 companies
4. Construction: 8 companies
5. Professional Activities: 6 companies
6. Agriculture: 5 companies
7. Real Estate: 4 companies
8. Wholesale Trade: 3 companies
9. Information & Communication: 3 companies
10. Mining: 2 companies
11. Gas & Electricity Supply: 2 companies
12. Water Supply: 2 companies
