BCA Bank's Customer Base Surpasses 28.5 Million in 2021

Bank Central Asia (BCA) has continuously recorded growth in its customer base over the past decade.

According to the company's financial reports, the number of BCA customers was only 10.23 million in 2011. This increased to 11.44 million in 2012 and further to 12.48 million in 2013.

Most recently, the number of BCA customers reached 28.5 million in 2021. This represents a 16.42% increase compared to the previous year, which saw 24.48 million customers.

BCA is one of the banks with the largest market capitalization in Southeast Asia. According to the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) report, its market capitalization was Rp1.034 trillion as of September 22, 2022. This even surpasses the market capitalization of Bank DBS, Singapore, which was valued at US$60.54 billion or approximately Rp910.15 trillion.

For information, BCA's President Director, Jahja Setiaatmadja, reportedly sold some of his shares.

According to the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) disclosure report, Jahja sold 500,000 BBCA shares at a price of Rp8,725 per share on September 15, 2022.

Therefore, the value of the divestment of 500,000 shares amounted to Rp4.36 billion. The document also stated that the head of BCA sold 500,000 of his shares for home renovation purposes.
