National Sectors with the Highest Peer-to-Peer Lending Debt at the End of Q1 2025

The Financial Services Authority (OJK) reported that the disbursement of fintech lending or online loans (pinjol) in Indonesia reached Rp27.92 trillion in March 2025.

This figure represents a 3.8% increase month-to-month (mtm) from February 2024, setting a new record high for the last three months. Of this amount, Rp7.05 trillion, or 25.25%, was channeled to the productive sector.

In March 2025, domestic pinjol disbursement was highest for the wholesale and retail trade sector, reaching Rp4.41 trillion. This contributed 63% of the total disbursement to the national productive sector.

The following is a list of the top 10 business sectors with the largest national pinjol debt in March 2025:

1. Wholesale and retail trade; repair and maintenance of motor vehicles and motorcycles: Rp4.41 trillion

2. Accommodation and food service activities: Rp907.89 billion

3. Agriculture, forestry, and fishing: Rp448 billion

4. Activities of households as employers of domestic personnel: Rp351.74 billion

5. Other service activities: Rp266.23 billion

6. Real estate: Rp129.74 billion

7. Information and communication: Rp122.51 billion

8. Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply: Rp85.12 billion

9. Construction: Rp47.83 billion

10. Transportation and warehousing: Rp47.81 billion.
