Jakarta Dominates National Peer-to-Peer Lending Disbursements in December 2022

Based on a report by the Financial Services Authority (OJK), the disbursement of fintech lending, or online loans (pinjol), in Indonesia reached Rp19.52 trillion in December 2022. DKI Jakarta dominated national loan disbursement.

Specifically, the amount of pinjol disbursed in DKI Jakarta reached Rp5.02 trillion. This means that 25.71% of Indonesia's pinjol disbursement was directed to borrowers in DKI Jakarta.

West Java ranked second with the largest pinjol disbursement, reaching Rp4.73 trillion. Disbursement from this province accounted for 24.23% of total national loan disbursement.

Following this were East Java, Banten, and Central Java, with pinjol disbursements of Rp2.51 trillion, Rp1.73 trillion, and Rp1.43 trillion, respectively.

On the other hand, the province with the lowest pinjol disbursement in the same period was North Maluku, at only Rp 17.66 billion. This was followed by West Papua at Rp 18.25 billion.
