Fintech P2P Lending Disbursements Increased by 19% as of February 2022

The Financial Services Authority (OJK) report shows that the disbursement of P2P lending fintech loans reached Rp16.40 trillion in February 2022. This figure is up 19% compared to the previous month, which was Rp13.78 trillion.

Disbursement of fintech lending loans in February 2022 also increased by approximately 71% compared to the same period the previous year. In February 2021, fintech lending disbursement was recorded at Rp9.58 trillion.

Fintech lending loans were disbursed to 12.76 million borrowers in February 2022. The number of borrowers decreased by 5.9% compared to the previous month. The majority, or 10.11 million borrowers, were from the Java region.

Rp11.27 trillion in loans, or 68.72%, were given to the productive sector. Of this amount, Rp5.56 trillion was lent to sectors other than "other business fields".

Loans disbursed to the wholesale and retail trade sector reached Rp2.07 trillion. Meanwhile, loans to the household sector were recorded at Rp682.49 billion.

From the lender's side, the number reached 9.76 million entities with a value of Rp10.81 trillion. Cooperation in loan disbursement by institutional lenders (super lenders) during this period was contributed by 75 conventional financial institutions totaling Rp1.99 trillion.
