The Financial Services Authority (OJK) reported that the disbursement of fintech lending or online loans in December 2022 amounted to Rp19.52 trillion. This figure increased by 2.95% month-to-month (mtm) from Rp18.96 trillion in the previous month.

The disbursement of online loans also increased by approximately 43.52% year-on-year (yoy) compared to the same period last year, which was Rp13.60 trillion in December 2021.

Loans to the agriculture, forestry, and fisheries sector reached Rp228.16 billion. Meanwhile, loans to the processing industry were recorded at Rp57.61 billion.

Furthermore, Rp1.34 trillion in loans were given to the accommodation and food and beverage sector.

The number of lender accounts totaled 10.43 million with disbursed funds amounting to Rp19.67 trillion. The collaboration in loan disbursement by institutional lenders (super lenders) during this period was contributed by 690 conventional financial institutions totaling Rp3.92 trillion.

Based on the trend, the amount of online loan disbursement throughout 2022 was fluctuating. The highest disbursement was in March 2022 at Rp23.07 trillion, while the lowest was in January 2022 at Rp13.78 trillion.
