Floods and landslides have hit 47 regencies/cities spread across three provinces on Sumatra Island, namely Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra, since last Monday (November 24, 2025).
According to data from the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB), as of Sunday (November 30, 2025), this Sumatra disaster has affected 1.1 million people.
Approximately 290,000 people have been displaced, 646 people were injured, 402 people are missing, and 442 people have died.
The highest number of casualties was recorded in North Sumatra, with 217 fatalities and 209 people missing.
Victims of the North Sumatra disaster are spread across Central Tapanuli, South Tapanuli, Sibolga City, North Tapanuli, Humbang Hasundutan, Pakpak Barat, Padang Sidempuan City, Deli Serdang, and Nias.
Meanwhile, in West Sumatra, the number of fatalities is 129 people and 118 people are missing.
Victims of the West Sumatra disaster are spread across Agam Regency, Padang Panjang City, Padang City, Padang Pariaman, Tanah Datar, West Pasaman, Pasaman, Solok, Solok City, and South Pesisir.
And in Aceh, there are 96 fatalities and 75 people missing. Victims are spread across Bener Meriah, Central Aceh, Pidie Jaya, Bireuen, Southeast Aceh, North Aceh, East Aceh, Lhokseumawe, Gayo Lues, Subulussalam, and Nagan Raya.
